WHY?  Because even though manual techniques have their value, the therapists I have fired most were OCS (orthopedic certified specialists).  It might sound strange to you but the reason is due to patients saying they did NOT want to be treated by them, and wanted someone else (patients don't care how many initials you have behind your name).  I asked the patients why?  And their answer was, "I'm not saying they're not good, it's just that they come in and bang-bang and walk out." 

No matter how good you are with your hands, if you don't win over the patient's mind and heart you will not UNLOCK their bodies own HEALING power, and therefore will NOT succeed.  Their physical condition might get somewhat better but you won't get the kind of results that breeds loyalty, reputation and more business!
